Errors are good...sometimes!

As I am going through editing images from the past few weeks, I came across some images from Me-Shell and I's wedding back in May. The images were shot by a good friend, and my camera had no flash, so the camera compensated by adding a longer shutter speed. Thus making the image blur do to hand shake. But as I started looking at the images a little more closely, I saw the the images gave me a sense of the movement and feeling of when Me-Shell surprised all our guests, including myself by doing a roller disco at the reception. The guests at our wedding loved the roller show and it was the talk of the reception.

Note: Me-Shell used to live in southern california, and spent some time near venice beach the roller disco capital. One time on a date she took me to the basketball courts and did this really fun dance routine to music all on her roller skates, it was the best date ever!

Sometimes errors are good. They give the viewer a sense of motion and moment. So as you are going through editing images, don't toss images just because they have blur or are not technically correct. Sometimes those images tell more of the story than the perfect shots.

Have fun shooting.
Mike
