Valentine’s day was gorgeous! The sun came out, finally, after the last few days hiding behind ominous clouds and those always, oh so frequent, rain showers. The nearby mountains had a fresh blanket of snow, and a crispness to the air, made it a great day to hang out in old town Pasadena. So Saturday, I had the privilege to meet a great couple for some very fun valentine’s day portraits. Jay and Heather had hired me to cover their Wedding next month in Maui, and when we got to talking our schedules worked out for a portrait session in Southern California.
Through the old streets and alley ways, to the parks and restaurants, we had a fun time getting to know one another. Here are some of my favorites from the afternoon.
Jay and Heather, enjoy the sneak peek of your photos, really excited to see you two in Maui soon!
Aloha,
Mike

I just heard about Heather's wedding. She is a childhood friend of mine. These pictures are beautiful and she looks truly happy. I really like the composition of the pictures where the couple look at each other both close up and standing in front of the red doors in Pasadena, very nice pictures and lighting. The black and whites are a very nice memorable touch. It gives a wonderfully classic and timeless look.
